HuskyPC Macintosh
Proposals
Overview
The HuskyPC program allows UConn faculty and staff the ability to purchase a standard, supported computer that will be powerful, secure, and reasonably priced. As new models are made available via Apple's lifecycle process, it is necessary to review the current specifications to be sure they are in line with UConn's business needs.
Current Specification
While any model/line of Macintosh computer can be configured as a HuskyPC, a minimum of 2GB of system memory (RAM) and the purchase of Apple's 3 year extended warranty plan (AppleCare) are required.
2/09 Update:
UITS is currently in negotiations with Apple on HuskyPC-Mac pricing and reconfiguration of the HuskyPC-Mac software installation process, with the goal to provide a more integrated software installation and updating infrastructure. At this time, customers can click any of the software titles below in order to access the most current software release/installation medium.
